This is an port of the popular HTTPS Everywhere extension for Firefox, created by EFF and the Tor Project. It automatically switches thousands of sites from insecure “http”（不安全的http） to secure “https”（安全的https）. It will protect you against many forms（许多形式） of surveillance and account hijacking（监视和账户劫持）, and some forms of censorship.
Source code and bug tracker are available at github.com/efforg/https-everywhere.
If HTTPS Everywhere causes（引起） a site to look weird（看起来怪异） or break, you can disable it for that site using the button in the address bar in the top right of your screen. HTTPS Everywhere for Chrome is currently（当前） in beta, and a few such issues are inevitable（不可避免的） due to bugs in websites’ HTTPS support. Also watch for（留意） a “shield（盾）” button in the address bar, which means that Chrome blocked insecure portions（不安全部分） of the page. Sometimes pages will look weird with their insecure portions removed. Clicking on the shield will let you load them, but will reduce your security（安全性） and privacy.
